With Science week coming up sustainability is a key focus in this this years learning goal.
Story bird allows you to use beautiful pictures to write your own story too.
Again fun and easy to use , make your own comix by add text to a variety of pics. Great for writing exercises.
I had the Art teacher at school in mind as we looked at this site, however as discussed you don't know what you will get back, but I will leave that dissension to someone in a higher pay grade than me.

The program that I was most impressed with was Inspration 0.9. Putting it on the please buy list at work and at home. Inspiration was fun and easy to use, schools lucky enough to have interactive white boards would benefit from a creative way brain storm, make project plans. This is a program that the whole school would benefit from.
Quia while being a web site needs to be purchase after a 30 day trial. This little gem allows you and your students to create learning activities, such as hangman in different forms, scavenger hunt the net, for the answers to your own quiz. You can create class web pages to communicate with students, upload images, audio, and calender scheduled then share your creations. The questionnaire section was a great tool, that could also be used by students and teachers.
Story book 3 and vimeo.com seem to have value for personal and educational purposes I haven't had time to make an informed opinion.
