what i can do now.

I was thinking about the tech I already knew going into the three day incentive class. Was it going to be enough? I was thinking about the things that I know, not a great deal. During the classes I have been made more aware not what I do or don't know but more how to use what I know? Much like the competences in literacy and numeracy, multimedia or ICT could be easy moved in the food technology studies. Yr 7 at the school I work at are involved in a Master Chef competition. The students were given a product "chocolate" they need to find a recipe and produce the physical product. Some photo, a video could turn what is sure to be 24 sheets of paper with recipes written on it, into a presentation that could be a useful guide to cooking. The focus of the project is the tasting of the food when it could be, create user guide to teach someone to cook. Be like Jamie Oliver.

My job as the food tech assistant is to demonstrate to a class teens how to cook a dish. This week while I'm at Uni the class will be taken by the teacher, with a full class load she will have to allocate extra time this week to prepare for the class, eg. Cutting vegetables, setting up other ingredients.  Using the interactive projector she could play presentation including video of the demonstration to students while she prep food for the class. Saving valuable time.

I really enjoyed this class and feel that my head may explode with information overload, but this experience will be of huge benefit to my future students.
